Conclusion
I have to begin any conclusion I draw by openly stating that I have had absolutely no hands on time with either console. However, I have spent my research period digging out facts and then wrapping my own conjecture and opinions around them, rather than merely regurgitating the conjecture and opinion of others. By now, my opinion should be pretty clear. I dont suggest abandoning the idea of getting a console. I can assure you I will be buying one, but what I do recommend is waiting six months, maybe even a year. That way the technology, features and line-up will have matured enough that that you could make a properly-informed decision. Im going to go out on a limb here as well and say both will likely have a case of the gremlins. Let them chase those away first. Plus, you know they are only going to be releasing an updated version as soon as sales drop off anyway, the idea being to lure the naysayers, who have yet to succumb, and trick the gullible into buying the same product again. So I offer you the following: deferred satisfaction! No? Anyone?
