PS5: 10 Features It MUST Have

6. A HUMUNGOUS Hard Drive

Ps4 System Storage

Clearly, both Sony and Microsoft miscalculated the amount of space we'd need for a sizeable digital game library.

With the average game size being 50GB (across the board anyway, Red Dead 2 is closer to 90GB and The Witcher 3 with its DLC stretches into 120GB+), your base PS4 or Xbox One will be "full" after only a smattering of titles. Something like the aforementioned Red Dead 2 hoovers up close to half your available space, and at least for me, was one of the reasons I finally upgraded to a PS4 Pro.

Point being: If we're moving into more digital distribution and monthly services that offer HUGE amounts of games for a small fee, we need somewhere to put them, rather than the current "delete one, install one" mandate thousands of users experience with every new purchase.

Terabyte machines are almost the norm now when buying the latest PlayStation or Xbox SKUs, and this should be the PS5's starting point - if not hopefully some as-yet unknown size that makes us think we'll never have to forcibly delete a game ever again.
