With next-gen consoles on the way, how can Sony secure your PS5 purchase?

The last generation of consoles was a very productive one for Sony. As of February, they've sold a record 106.99 million PS4s - more than double that of Microsoft's 46.36 million Xbox One units. This is largely in part to the number of amazing, high-quality exclusives that Sony had lined up throughout the generation: Uncharted 4, Spider-Man and God of War, to name a few.

I remember being floored by the detail of God Of War on PS4 Pro, or being enchanted when flying around Manhattan in 4K as Spider-Man. It amazed me that those kinds of graphics were possible in games as open-world and finely detailed as they were.

It's safe to say that we expect a lot from the PS5 in terms of jaw-dropping exclusives. What we hope to see are games we all once loved, but haven't been around for a while. Games from older generations that never reached their full potential due to the hardware constraints.

Sony and their development studios have a chance to create some real masterpieces with unlimited potential. Here are the 10 exclusive releases that would win the generation.

10. Guerilla Games' New Multiplayer Shooter

As well as the heavy speculation surrounding a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel, developers Guerilla Games are said to have a multiplayer FPS game in the pipeline also. This rumour came about when Guerilla Games hired the director for the massively successful Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, who also had a hand in the original Killzone games before he moved to Ubisoft.

Of course, Guerilla Games are no strangers to creating good shooter games as they developed the Killzone series which were great shooters with exciting and compelling stories and pretty solid multiplayer options.

This being said, for Guerilla Games' new title the rumours suggest a strong focus on multiplayer, with a job opening from Guerilla that mentions "working on systems like matchmaking, tournaments, clans, and leaderboards".

The job listings seem mainly revolve around multiplayer game development. This combined with the fact that one of the prominent chiefs from Rainbow Six Seige is coming in to help indicates that the game is going to be multiplayer only, or heavily focused on multiplayer at the very least.
