PS5: 10 Most Promising Details You Haven’t Heard About
6. Continued PSVR Support
Sony's virtual reality unit, the PSVR, is a nice addition to the PS4 and its roster. I've personally only played it a handful of times, but I can't fault it for the enjoyment it's given me. Whilst it may not be for everyone, and Sony certainly aren't making it mandatory to own one, the continued support sees it going from strength to strength.
Recent leaks (again, unconfirmed for now) show a newly designed headset and Move controller, with some new additions. Notably a camera in the rear of the headset and controller, to possibly give a more accurate read of surroundings for the player.
The image also shows the unit without any wires, in both head and handset, which would give a less confined feel to it. This would mean that it would need its own power unit though - perhaps in the headset itself?
Again, these is just speculation at the time, with Sony being pretty tight lipped about it all. PSVR may not be everyone's favourite, but that they're expanding on it for fans is a great notion.
