4. 8K TV Support, 4K Bluray Player Inclusion
One of the PS3's best features was the included Blu Ray playing functionality. It opened a new era of graphical fidelity of films on HDTV's, without the extra expense. It was a great delight that it was carried over to the PS4, whilst Microsoft eventually included it in their consoles.
Now that we're in the realms of 4K blu ray though, Sony aren't able to offer anything in the console market that plays them. So that the PS5 will be able to play 4K Blu Ray discs from launch is a welcome, albeit slightly late, inclusion.
Sony have also said the PS5 will include 8K support for the current range of high fidelity TVs blowing our minds, which we hope will include full 4K support and not just upscaling on games.
It's an impressive boast, given that some 4K sets already look incredible on PS4 Pro settings. It will be exciting to see what this holds for us.
