PS5: 10 Reasons You Should Be WORRIED
1. Less Powerful Than The Xbox Series X
Microsoft isn't just crushing Sony in terms of showing the console and talking about its features, it is also the more powerful console as far as you can tell right now. While a definitive answer can only be given after the release of both systems, it seems that Sony is behind when it comes to raw power.
Sony might have a faster SSD, it also has less storage. Both consoles have a similar CPU, but when it comes down to raw numbers Microsoft's CPU narrowly takes the cake. The same can be said for the GPU, as Sony has 10.28 teraflops next to Microsoft's 12 teraflops.
While teraflops don't necessarily translate into raw power, there are a few other aspects in which Microsoft seems ahead of Sony as well. If Sony isn't careful they might be seen as underpowered which could generate some negative publicity.
For now, it means that Sony has a whole lot of catching up to do. The question is whether or not the company is able to do so. Only time will tell as we wait for both consoles to release later this year during the Holiday season.
