PS5: 13 CONFIRMED Details Sony Has Just Revealed

13. It's Called 'PlayStation 5'

First (and perhaps the one thing that pretty much anyone could have figured out) is that Sony's next console is, in fact, going to be called the PlayStation 5.

The numbering system has done the company well so far, so there wasn't really any expectation that the console would opt for a different naming convention, but it was something that Sony had avoided commenting on in the past.

Sony Interactive Entertainment's CEO, Jim Ryan explained that "it's nice to be able to say" the official name of the console, as if everyone hadn't already been referring to the next system as the PS5 ever since the PS4 launched.
