PS5 Secrets: 14 Tips & Tricks You Need To Know
9. Know Which PS4 Games Have PS5-Specific Updates & Features
Where Xbox's auto-upgrade "Smart Delivery" program has gone off without a hitch, Sony are all over the place with how they're handling multiple generations of the same game.
There's simply no way to tell which titles have been meaningfully upgraded without Googling or searching the PS Store for those that have developer text saying "PS5 upgrade available!", and that's outside the titles that have been patched to include exclusive PS5 features, yet still get listed as "PS4" on the dashboard.
Basically it's a hot mess, but we do have a list of games that come with PS5 upgrades, despite their media coverage barely getting the word out.
God of War (2018) - 4K at 60fps with DualSense haptic feedback. Grabbing Kratos' axe out the sky never felt so good, and pressurised triggers add to the feel of heavy attacks.
The Last Of Us Part II - Dualsense haptic feedback for scores of interactions across the whole game. Most notable when using the bow and arrow.
Ghost Of Tsushima - 4K 60fps
Monster Hunter World - 4K 60fps
Days Gone - 4K 60fps
Borderlands 3 - 4K 60fps OR 1080p at 120fps
Destiny 2 - 4K 60fps OR 120fps at "lower resolution"
Monster Boy & The Cursed Kingdom - Native 4K at 120fps
Rainbow Six Siege - 4K 60fps OR 1080p at 120fps
These are just a handful of notable upgrades to your existing library that trigger either when playing the PS4 version, or after applying the most recent patch. There are certain to be plenty more in the coming weeks.
