PS5 Wishlist: 10 Things Sony's Next Console Must Include
1. Priced Below £500
Sony's decision to price the PS3 at £140 more than the Xbox 360 at launch was the mother of all !*$%-ups, and we sincerely hope it's a mistake they won't repeat when launching the PS5.
The machine should be competitively priced, and since Microsoft debuted the Xbox One X at £449, this means somewhere below £500.
Analysts have tipped Sony to launch its next PlayStation at somewhere between £450 and £550, and while any more than that would make it a stinger, this is a problem that can be avoid by launching multiple models.
As we've already touched on, the inclusion of a disc-less base edition could help Sony reach a broader target audience which includes those well less disposable income.
They can go as premium as they wish at the other end of the scale, providing we have options based on our needs and bank balance.
