PS5 Wishlist: 10 Things Sony's Next Console Must Include
5. Wireless Charging Controllers
Our reliance on wires continues to lessen across the hardware generations, and the PS5 should move us a step closer to cutting the umbilical cord completely.
We'd like to see the DualShock controller overhauled for the next generation of gamers, and top of the wishlist of new features is wireless charging.
Many of the latest smartphones include this feature, so there's no reason why the DualShock can't.
Instead of rummaging around for a cable when the dreaded low-battery message pops up, PS5 owners could simply plonk their pad on top of their console to juice it up.
Of course, ditching wires entirely is a bad idea because our play sessions can't grind to a halt when the controller is flat, but wireless charging is an important step forward.
Adding a built-in touchscreen to the DualShock 5 instead of the Touch Pad would be another interesting evolution, but Sony must be midnful that nobody wants these things to become any more expensive than they already are.
