PSVR 2: 5 Confirmed Features (And 5 It Needs)
5. Needs: Backwards Compatibility
While the PSVR 1 has been thrown plenty of shade in this list for being...well, old. One thing you can not fault it for is its incredible library of content.
It still holds the biggest amount of headset exclusives of all VR platforms, from the unbashful joyful platforming of Astro Bot Rescue Mission, to the pants-wetting terror of Resident Evil 7, to stepping into Tony Stark's shoes with Marvel's Iron Man VR - these are all must-play affairs.
But since VR is still niche, most gamers have completely missed out on during last-gen. So why not give the new PSVR 2 audiences a chance to discover them?
Another factor for returning VR gamers is if the next headset's proposed specs allow for better tracking, graphics, and motion, this means it will also vastly improve the playability (e.g adding 360 tracking) of these fantastic games too.
Backward compatibility is a default must for consumers nowadays, Sony would be foolish to skip out on the notion, plus it would take their must-play library of content and rejuvenate it with modern technology.
