PUBG: 9 Features It Needs To Compete With Fortnite

8. Smoother, Bug-Free Gameplay

There are many reasons to plump for PUBG over its competitor when the desire to take on 99 other people in a winner-takes-all contest strikes, but stability isn't one of them.

Prior to its leaving early access, Bluehole was able to use that status as a buffer to excuse the majority of PUBG's intrusive technical and performance hiccups. Now? Not so much.

From janky parachute landings - often resulting in your avatar taking phantom damage for no discernible reason - to collision detection failing, leading to an endless fall into limbo, some of these hiccups still persist today and desperately need to be ironed out. The last thing Bluehole wants is more negative publicity surrounding the game's performance, especially after the disastrous Xbox One launch.

Four months on from launch, both Xbox One and its superior counterpart struggle to meet the FPS goal Bluehole had targeted prior to launch, while Fortnite runs considerably smoother (and at 60FPS on One X) on consoles.

It's time for some renovations.
