Cool fact: Back when Remedy put together the breakthrough hit Max Payne, they were a fledgling studio with a shoestring budget. As such, they couldn't afford to high anyone to be the face of Max Payne, and so writer and creative director Sam Lake put his name forward.

He contorted his face and birthed the iconic grimace that Max would have throughout the entirety of that first title. Lake has since become known in the industry as one of The Coolest Dudes Ever, and in Quantum Break, if you head inside a tent right next to where activist Amy Ferraro is standing in the opening act, you can watch a mockup TV show featuring Lake as a grizzled detective.

He's essentially the live-action version of Payne, but Finnish actor IIkka Villi (who played Alan Wake) also pops up, delivering a strange monologue about dark matter over the top.

Could this be a trailer for Alan Wake 2, or a Max Payne/Alan Wake crossover? I can dream...
