Rage 2: 10 Reasons It's A Crushing Disappointment

2. Bugs, Glitches & Annoyances

Rage 2
Bethesda

It seems Bethesda's penchant for unfinished games is so bad, it's extending to the ones they're publishing too.

Where to even begin with Rage 2? Even the main menu lags like crazy when you tab through its various sections, but that's nowhere near everything:

Personally, the biggest offender was the game's sound levels. Across the entire tutorial I had the weapon sounds disappear as character dialogue was pushed to the front of the mix. This resulted in each person's combat screams and reactionary grunts being hilariously out of place, while moments that should hit home - like unlocking Overdrive for the first time or finishing off a boss - devolve into a mess of background sound effects and zero gunfire.

As mentioned, driving physics have a mind of their own, and when vehicle sections and basic gunplay feel this unreliable, any number of Rage 2's biggest identifying aspects can be completely unplayable.
