2. Environmental Interaction
An element that's always been cornered by Battlefield yet never explored by CoD, Rainbow shouldn't be excluded from the destructible environment club. Quite sadly, the two most recent Battlefield releases have regressed from their emphasis on destructible environments once so prevalent in the Bad Company releases, which has left a pretty big hole for gamers looking to take out their pent up aggression on some poor defenceless buildings. Joking, of course. But Siege's environments are certainly worthy of note. Walls, floors, ceilings, windows - pretty much everything you could think off is malleable to the forces of war in this entry. Bullets rip through dry wall like paper, and breaching charges take off doors and floors with ease. Assaulting isn't as easy as it sounds however, as attackers have to be cautious lest they harm the hostage they're trying to save. More importantly however, is the way in which destruction can now influence the battlefield - as lines of fire can now be manipulated by the two opposing teams. Destructibility was never too prevalent in the last two Rainbow releases, but the devastatingly effective destruction in Siege is pretty spectacular in action.
