Rainbow Six: Siege - 10 Things It'll Do Better Than Call Of Duty

9. Provide A Truly Authentic Experience

Like the pages of Clancy's finest works, Ubisoft have demonstrated a remarkable ability to take immersion to an unprecedented level in their titles based on the late writer's novels. All Rainbow titles have provided a sense of realism distinctly absent from the genre at the present, and whilst this more cautionary gameplay may not be for those who are more accustomed to fast-paced bullet-fests, it's certainly more than easy to get stuck into - the newest iteration of RS won't be an exception. From the two extensive demos shown so far, Siege looks to be innovating the series' signature approach to combat - including new counter-terrorism techniques in the process. Breaching charges, flashbangs and riot shields are all in Rainbow's arsenal, but it's the way in which they're used as a unit that makes the game a truly authentic combat experience. In contrast, Call of Duty's scripted gameplay leaves little in the way of tactical thought, and weapon control or significance is almost null and void. Not only does Rainbow trump CoD in its military authenticity, it provides a key component to military gameplay that COD always overlooks; teamwork. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wlvYh0h63k
