Ranking All 151 Original Pokémon From Worst To Best
55. Golem
As we approach the top 50, inclusion is either dependant on either being a massively recognizable character, generally being incredibly cool, or having really impressive stats. For these reasons, Golem just misses out.
54. Ivysaur
It's largely acknowledged that Bulbasaur was the most inferior of the three starters (although its fans are by far the most passionate), but I'd argue that its got the strongest second stage. It learns huge moves in particular, and the design really looks like a more ferocious beast, rather than simply a taller version of the original.
53. Vulpix
Vulpix is brilliant. You need no more information.
52. Nidoking
Nidoking is gnarly but given it's spikes and points and teeth it really should have been one of the strongest in the game. Instead it's all just a bit try-hard with nothing but the inherently flawed Hyper Beam to really back it up.
51. Nidoqueen
As above, but with softer edges.
