5. Arcanine

So if we're talking faithful companions you could travel the globe with, Arcanine might just pip Lapras in the pecking order. For starters, it's a dog, god's most loyal and loving creatures, and also is made of fire, god's most badass elemental property.

Its stats are excellent, and even the weakest one, defence, still comes in at a respectable 80. Although Arcanine never quite had the greatest movepool, it was still strong enough that it could more than hold its own regardless. Plus, and I can't stress this enough, it's a giant, regal dog that has an actual fire raging inside it. What wouldn't you love about that.
