Ranking All Of Metal Gear Solid's Boss Battles From Worst To Best

26. Solidus Snake (MGS 2)

Final boss fights don't get much more ridiculous than this: Raiden engages in a sword-fight atop Federal Hall with the former President of the United States who just so happens to be wearing a Doctor Octopus suit. It's not one of the harder final bosses in an MGS game, but it's not exactly a cakewalk either: Solidus has two swords to your one, has tentacles which can grab you and also fire projectiles, and annoyingly, he'll eventually charge around the roof burning a trail of fire everywhere he goes. A fun boss fight for sure, but it lacks the same spectacular feel as many of the other final bosses, and in a sense is almost too silly for its own good. Still, getting to see Solidus take a plunge off the top of Federal Hall is tremendously satisfying, no matter how divisive MGS 2's conclusion ended up being.
