27. Liquid Snake - On Top Of REX (MGS)

After Snake disables Metal Gear REX, he and Liquid engage in a fist-fight on top of the machine, a no-frills, brutal mano-y-mano slugfest that feels like it came right out of a movie. The reason this fight doesn't rank higher despite being one of the most iconic moments in MGS history is that the method to beat Liquid is actually pretty simple: it largely consists of just hitting him repeatedly with a punch-punch-kick combo until you can knock him off the edge of REX. On the other hand, though, the fight's simplicity is kinda welcome after the savagely difficult REX fight, plus it's damn fun all the same and extremely satisfying to beat the living snot out of Liquid, even if, sadly, it still doesn't quite put him out for the count. As they say, the best is yet to come...
