18. Sahelanthropus - Attack (MGS V)

MGS V's boss fights may have proven divisive, but it ends with a more traditional MGS fight as Snake takes on Sahelanthropus. It's not a particularly complex or difficult fight and can easily be finished by just continually firing rockets at Metal Gear for 15 minutes, but the scale makes it an all-time epic boss in the franchise's history, as the action can spill over a massive expanse of Afghanistan. Though the core story of the game comes to a relatively underwhelming conclusion at the end of this fight, it nevertheless does a fantastic job showing off the game's open world, and it goes without saying that Sahelanthropus is by far the most terrifying and intimidating final boss from any MGS game to date (which is ironic considering its chronological placement in the series).
