4. Metal Gear RAY (MGS 4)

No boss fight in the history of the series is this ridiculously, brilliantly epic, as Snake pilots Metal Gear REX against Metal Gear RAY, which is piloted by Liquid Ocelot. This is the King Kong vs. Godzilla of the franchise, and it doesn't disappoint, even if it's actually relatively easy and continues to make the RAY units look incredibly weak. As long as you strategically use the environment to shield yourself when necessary and take advantage of any moments where RAY stops, you'll probably crush this one in just a try or two. It may not have much more to it than being a blast-a-thon slugfest, but it's extremely satisfying given these mechs' history in the series, and amusingly makes something of a hero out of REX.
