Ranking All Of Microsoft's First-Party Studios Worst To Best
12. Lift London
Notable Games: 3D Paint
In Development: Unknown
Announced in 2013 as Microsoft's first European studio built from the ground up, Lift arrived with a mandate to specialise in products tied to the Hololens and F2P devices.
Since then, the Hololens as a consumer-based product has been left by the wayside, especially since Kinect died and VR stepped in on the scene. The studio has instead been helping out in a support role on some mobile and indie games.
There's no denying that Lift holds an incredibly talented team, but with their priority and purpose kind of scuppered, Microsoft needs to find them a suitable project - perhaps working on new tech for next-gen machines?
