Ranking Every Boss Battle In Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
2. Toasty
Though a lot of Spyro The Dragon’s bosses are crowding the lower positions, Toasty rises through the ranks to take silver.
He’s the first boss of the entire trilogy, and while those old nostalgia specs had been unduly kind to Gnasty Gnorc, Toasty was just as good as the memory suggested. He himself is fairly straight forward, but the dogs in the level provide a decent challenge for newcomers. They’re the first enemies that take two hits before they go down, and if you’re not expecting it they can really surprise you.
Toasty was everywhere in the promotion of Reignited, right from the first trailer. He’s such a unique boss, design wise; instantly recognisable as a Spyro character. There was always a wacky, if slightly cheesy, sense of humour to Spyro, and Toasty is perfect for that.
He’s a sheep on stilts, wearing a pumpkin for a head. That really tells you all you need to know about this guy. The cartoonish little run with the pumpkin tipping over as he moves from field to field is the icing on the cake. A real shame the rest of the bosses in the first game took players downhill quickly.
