Ranking EVERY Main Resident Evil From Worst To Best
10. Resident Evil: Revelations
After the series had taken a turn towards becoming more action orientated play, fans were craving to be scared again and for the trademark solo experience that was once RE's bread and butter to return. Revelations was thought to be a saving grace for those that had been with the games since the mid-'90s and players were right to think so as there was no way Jill was going to solve her troubles by punching them into a volcano in the middle of the ocean.
Starting life on the Nintendo DS, this entry was intended to be played in short bursts, but still delivered a core modern Resident Evil experience. Dark corridors with stronger enemies where back, but finally moving and shooting was possible.
Slotting into the timeline between 4 and 5, Revelations attempted to bridge the gap and explore Jill and Chris's time as BSAA agents rather than just being thrown into their roles in RE 5. There is quite a lot in this title that can be overlooked because up to this point it story threads haven't been followed up on since - the end cutscene in a cafe being the major example. But to see how the franchise got where it is today both in a story sense and mechanical, Revelations is an early attempt at that.
