Ranking Every PS5 Game From Worst To Best (So Far)

8. Destruction Allstars

Arguably Sony's first flop in years, Destruction Allstars would've completely face-planted the floor had it stuck to its original £70 price point.

Instead, Sony decided to put this out on PS Plus, which was a far wiser move... until you realise they're still charging real money through microtransactions, to unlock the story.

As it stands, Destruction Allstars is bizarrely empty. Its heroes are supremely well rendered the action moves along steadily enough, but actual combat boils down to flicking the right analogue stick to boost-shove into foes, while occasionally busting out a special attack.

Player numbers weren't very strong to begin with, but developers Lucid Games are already exploring the idea of adding A.I. NPCs, as matchmaking is already falling apart.

All this needed to be was a Wreckfest-style smash 'em up where we indulged in physics and explosions to blast opponents into smithereens.

Sadly, it's nowhere near.
