Ranking EVERY PS5 Launch Game From Worst To Best

5. Astro's Playroom

The game packed in with every PS5, Sony REALLY didn't like that only a fraction of us played Astro Bot Rescue Mission on PS VR, and have set about giving the character a much bigger spotlight.

Because make no mistake, Astro Bot's first main outing is easily the finest VR experience on PSVR itself. A wondrous blend of perspective-shifting, fun weighty controls and genius level design, all who got hands on with Sony Japan's out-of-nowhere platformer recommended it to those within earshot.

Astro's Playroom then, is built from the ground up to show off the new DualSense controller.

Sony's fancy new piece of kit has scores of haptic feedback motors, high fidelity speakers and gyroscopic functions that can translate into unique ways to play or interact. We've been told about the DualSense rumbling in different ways to simulate walking on sand, mud or ice, and we know the triggers will actively "fight" pushing them down if a gun has jammed or there's a reason for physical feedback.

Astro's Playroom could be a total gimmick-fest, and it's definitely designed to be a playable reminder for why the DualSense is a big deal, but hopefully given the pedigree of Rescue Mission, it can stand on its own.
