Ranking Every Upcoming Star Wars Project - By Hype

Star Wars Rebels series was for many fans, a brilliant climax to the ending of a story that grew and grew over its seasons in much the same way the original trilogy did. It was afforded the ultimate license to re-introduce previous characters from both the films, and prequel animated series The Clone Wars, and tied up a whole lot of discontinued stories after that series cancellation, and fill in some gaps established in the main continuity.

The ending was not to all fans satisfaction, and there have been repeated demands in the wake of the lukewarm reception to the sequel trilogy to continue Rebels in some way, much as series creator Dave Filoni did in the first place with Rebels being a sequel to The Clone Wars.

It seems that fans prayers are going to be answered in the coming years. After Filoni was given leave to revive The Clone Wars series on Disney +, as well as develop the Mandalorian live-action series it seems Disney is giving over more and more freedom to Filoni to develop whatever projects he wants.

Following the conclusion of a recent series of meetings between Lucasfilm and Disney, it's believed an announcement is coming following the release and conclusion of The Clone Wars series on Disney + in February. Whether or not this will announce a sequel series to Rebels is still yet to be confirmed but the hype is strong in this one...
