Ranking Every Upcoming Star Wars Project - By Hype

To either the delight or dismay of fans across the spectrum the most divisive man in Star Wars history other than George Lucas himself, is still slated to make his own original trilogy, and there has never been more of a reason to be excited about that.

Rian Johnson, despite whatever his critics from the Last Jedi have to say about him, remains a highly capable and respected filmmaker. His vision of The Last Jedi was bold, it was brilliant, and it reeked of a studio who had no clear direction or ideas to make the film with.

This much is obvious from the fact that Disney granted Johnson his own blank slate to create with even before the Last Jedi was released, clearly demonstrating the confidence they had within him and his ability to bring something new to the universe, and expand it off in a different direction.

Now, we know next to nothing about Johnson's planned films other than they will have nothing to do with the main series, and that's great. We have seen with other recent announcements about the other projects Disney has announced that these will keep fans in familiar(ish) territory, but this will keep the speculation and anticipation of a possible plot for this alternative series-wide open, and continue to build the hype for the years to come.

Can Rian yet redeem himself in the eyes of some of the fans?
