Ranking Every Video Game Joker From Worst To Best

2. Batman: Arkham Origins

After the seminal Arkham Asylum blew critics away, Arkham City followed it by substantially raising the bar. So, where do we go from here exactly?

Backwards, apparently, and while this radical shift of the timeline and disengaging form of gameplay that came along with it comparative to the expansive open-world premise that the former two games had in spades, the outsourcing of the project to another company didn't instil much confidence in fans either.

While the reception to the game was lukewarm upon release, the use of a younger, creepier version of the Joker was a major highlight. Taking both the bat and the clown back to their earlier days created some fantastic moments, with the prolific Troy Baker's performance standing out amongst everything else.

His exceptional take on the character, to a degree, does come across like a copy and paste job of Mark Hamill's legendary iteration, but that's not exactly a bad thing when considering just how immense he is anytime he undertakes this role.

While it doesn't quite measure up to the OG Joker voice actor - and let's be serious, who does? - it's a sincere and adept attempt at breathing life into the character, and a meaningful imbuement of everything the Joker is.
