Ranking January & February 2015’s Video Games From Worst To Best

6. Resident Evil HD Remaster

Slightly shinier warts n' all, the original 1997-release of Resi got another coat of paint back in January, essentially delivering more of the same white-knuckle thrills and horrifically bad dialogue as it always did. This newer version is almost exactly the same as the Gamecube release from 2002, albeit now complete with some more updated costumes from other RE titles for Chris and Jill and some shinier lighting models in certain rooms. You can tell Capcom just wanted to get some more cash for one of their most legendary products, but for all those people who were aching back in '02 when both the graphics of the re-release and the platform exclusivity itself was enough to make you want to jump ship, finally your time has come. Inventory space and the ink ribbon-necessity save system is still just as unforgiving as it was in 1997 though, so be prepared to hurl a few controllers if you get your hips chewed off before making it back to a typewriter.
