WWE/2K

The Nintendo Switch has only actually had two wrestling games released on it, with that pair being WWE 2K18 and this year's WWE 2K Battlegrounds.

For whatever reason, it was opted not to release WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20 on the console - which, at least in 2K20's case, is likely a good thing for Switch gamers.

As for which of WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds gets the gong as the greatest wrestling game on the Switch, that goes to WWE 2K Battlegrounds. Not only is the game itself better than WWE 2K18, period, but the style and feel of 2K Battlegrounds lends itself brilliantly to the fun and energy of the Switch.

2K Battlegrounds is loud, erratic, elaborate, and all-out bonkers for the most part, and that lines up nicely with the frenetic vibrancy that so many other Switch games so often serve up. Let's face it, the Nintendo Switch is a system that's not necessarily designed for gamers who like to take things all that seriously - and that means that the eccentricities of WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a great fit.
