1. Challenges
Further extending the shelf-life of the game are Challenges, which appear twice daily and also twice weekly in the form of Standard and Extreme challenges. Generally, they revolve around one of the game's maps being varied in some form - such as, say, a time attack race through it, or trying to make it as far as you can without dying - with the Extreme version naturally being a whole lot more taxing than the Standard. The really enticing thing is that this all communicates to an online leaderboard, where you'll be rewarded with a trophy depending on how you compared to other players online (though this means that if a surge of players suddenly beat your time, your trophy can be "demoted" to a lower one). It adds a hugely competitive appeal to the game, and though Ubisoft could've gone even further with it, it's still a massively unnecessary feature that I'm nevertheless very happy to see show up.
