Rayman Legends: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

9. Level Design

Rayman Legends C If you thought that Rayman Origins was a marvel of exceptional level design, Legends somehow manages to one-up it. This is a superbly-paced game that boasts some of the very best platforming levels in recent gaming history, and what's truly impressive is that throughout its 100+ levels of mayhem, it never feels boring, tired or repetitive; it always feels fresh, because there's so much variety bursting at the seams. One minute, you'll be stealthily sneaking around a dangerous enemy, then you'll be playing a more familiar platform-type level, and then you'll be playing a level best described as a spoof of shoot 'em up games. The game is designed to be challenging but never difficult to the point of infuriating. When you fail, it's fair, never resorting to cheap tactics, and therefore you're unlikely to want to fling your controller (or keyboard) out the window.
