Rayman Legends: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

5. Co-Op

Rayman Legends G What really helps to push Legends to the next level is the superbly implemented co-operative play, with up to four players able to play together on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and even 5 on the Wii U, thanks to the console's gamepad. On PS3 and the 360, players can play as Rayman, Globox, the Teensies and a new kick-ass female character called Barbara, while the fifth character, the assistant Murfy (who on the Wii U would be controlled with the gamepad), can be called with the press of a single button. Timing is still key, and though it's not as slickly employed as the Wii U's streamlined gameplay, it's still more than functional. The real appeal of the co-op play, though, is the sheer chaos of it; if you're struggling with a single-player level, there's no discounting the usefulness and relieving quality of roping a few mates in to play. While many games of this type struggle with awkward collision detection, that's not a problem here; you can hit other players and even stack yourselves into a tower-like formation, though occasionally you might struggle to realise which player is which character when there's a lot taking place on screen.
