Rayman Legends: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

4. It's The Best Use Of The Wii U Gamepad Yet

Rayman Legends H It's not being harsh to say that the Wii U has been, for want of a better phrase, a flop so far. The console was released with little fanfare, and lacked even a single particularly impressive game for many months, at least until Pikmin 3 recently hit stores. However, with the release of Legends, it's safe to say that we have not only the very best game on the platform, but also the game which best makes use of the console's central gimmick - the Wii U gamepad. Whereas other consoles are limited to 4 players, Legends on the Wii U allows a fifth player to use the gamepad to control the series' resident helper, Murfy, allowing them to activate switches, cut ropes, grab enemies and basically assist Rayman and co. with whatever they need. Though this could have been a lazy gimmick and not much more, it feels so organic and natural to the mode of play that the Wii U version is without question the definite way to play this game.
