Though Red Dead Redemptions online functionality was far superior to that of Grand Theft Auto IV and both were built around the same solid concepts - shoot and cause mayhem with your friends across an open world setting - neither mode felt fully featured enough. I really want to see the concept of the open world grow online: to echo what I said in my GTA V online article, we need to see the game world operate in the same way in both modes., with full crowds, lots of interactions and mini-games and a more functioning play space. Red Dead Redemption's DLC took steps in the right direction in allowing players to play poker, blackjack and other games online, but it feels a bit unfair to have to pay for this after launch, although R* later did make up for this with two free DLC's. As for Red Dead 3, the posse and crew systems should come into play once more: your Crew members could automatically join your posse when they join your match, and building on my previous point as well as my GTA V list, you and your Crew could work together to build up territory and your own ranch. Online free roam games often tend to turn into frag fests, but if working together to build up the game would was encouraged, then maybe this game could well change all of that. What do you think?
