Red Dead Online: 10 MAJOR Problems Rockstar Must Fix
4. Selling To Vendors
If the camp and shack aren't working, another way of earning money is by selling goods to vendors.
There are countless shops littered around Red Dead Online and many can be sold specific goods. While the payouts pale in comparison to earning a living through the various roles, vendors are a great way of ridding oneself of all that inventory clutter.
Or they would be...
There are two separate bugs associated with the different stores rendering two of them obsolete.
The town butcher can usually be sold goods such as animal parts, skins, carcasses, and fish. The glitch with the butcher, which is also possible to reoccur when trading with Cripps, makes it impossible to sell large animals. Animals such as pike, deer, or anything classed as a "large" creature can cause this bug to happen. There are no known fixes to this glitch other than giving the animal to a posse member and letting them claim the reward.
A slightly different error occurs when selling to the herbalist. Due to the sheer volume of herbs and plants that can be stored it is possible to crash the game by selling to many at once. Selling the plants in bulks tends to be fine but repeatedly selling single plants will inevitably cause the shop to crash.
