8. Go Hunting

Perhaps the best past time on offer in Red Dead Online, hunting allows you to earn a good buck for killing all manner of wild creatures. When you break down the numbers, it's easy to see why hunting always crops up in these sorts of articles - a perfect pelt will earn you $5, keeping in mind it's usually $4-10 you receive for missions and free-roam activities.

In order to ensure you receive the highest payout possible, you have to play it tactically. This means using the best hunting weapons on offer - arrows, a varmint rifle, and a bolt action rifle (although that last one is a bit pricey so maybe stick to the first two options). From there, it's just a case of shooting when the time is right, primarily going after bison and deer but any other animal will still earn you at least some extra money.

It's extremely easy to set off an adventure to collect just one pelt, only to end up halfway across the map from where you started murdering every animal you come across. Hunting is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable things about Red Dead Online - the fact it pays out fairly well is just an added bonus.
