Red Dead Redemption: 10 Darkest Stranger Missions
1. Eva In Peril
Upon entering Casa Madrugada in Diez Coronas, Marston is greeted by the sight of local prostitute Eva Cortes being beaten down by her pimp Mario Alcalde. Marston scoldes Mario who offers to release Eva for $200. Marston complies, with Mario still aiming disparaging comments towards Eva who reveals that with her new-found freedom, she will head to the church in Las Hermanas.
Marston will eventually head to the church, questioning a Sister about Eva. Uncomfortably, the Sister answers that "a man came for her" before informing Marston that the pair said they were heading to Sepulcro, to which Marston begins tracking them down.
Marston arrives at Sepulcro to find Mario exhuming Eva's body from a shallow grave and with the despondency clear in Marston's voice, as he asks Mario why he killed her. He claims he didn't (though journal notes reveal that he did in fact kill Eva in a drunken rage) and begins questioning Marston's motives, insinuating that he wants to have her even as a corpse.
The resultant duel is a hollow win as yes, the wicked, remorseless Mario is dead, but then so is Eva, a woman who was just trying to get her life together.
