Red Dead Redemption: 10 Darkest Stranger Missions

2. American Appetites

A stroll through the streets of Armadillo will eventually lead to a number of meetings with distraught townsfolk, all of whom have eerily similar stories of loved ones going missing around Hanging Rock with the Sheriff seemingly powerless or unwilling to help. Marston will investigate each time, only to find a pool of blood and some discarded bones.

On the third trip to Hanging Rock looking for a soon-to-be father, Marston will come across a man with a broken leg who says he was attacked by a city man who is now trying to flee. After chasing down the attacker (which was precluded by a not-suspicious-at-all laugh from the injured man), Marston will bring him back to the injured man thinking he is getting retribution on his behalf.

But it is revealed that the injured cowboy is in fact Randall Forrester, a local cannibal, and the fleeing man was simply defending himself from nearly becoming another victim.

Putting the pieces together and the cause of all the local disappearances - including a wife and a young child - all come down to the psychotic cannibal who lurches after the pleading city man one more time proclaiming the haunting line "fella's gotta eat now".
