Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Characters We Need To See

5. Nigel West-Dickens

A proprietor of snake oils, tonics, and remedies, Nigel West-Dickens is a con man out of his depth who provides good willed comic relief in the narrative, and helps John in his plot to apprehend Bill Williamson from Fort Mercer.

Despite his bumbling tendencies and constant spiel of far-fetched self-proclaimed talents, West-Dickens has a good heart and is vital in helping John infiltrate Fort Mercer by using his stagecoach as Trojan Horse. Sadly, after aiding John and the first act of the game, West-Dickens only appears in a single cutscene, leaving a unique void in players' hearts.

The sequel could show West-Dickens in his early swindling days, ripping off people not matter what side of justice they assigned themselves to. It could explore how his relationship with Seth came about, possibly before his sanity disintegrated along with his hygiene, or coming in to contact with Dutch’s gang, even if only for a brief moment or two.

West-Dickens is a nice balance and breakaway from the savagery and cut-throat personalities that populate New Austin, so it would be good to see the salesman appear in Red Dead 2.
