Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Gameplay Features We Need To See

2. Return Of Dead Eye

Dead Eye is an oft-forgotten mechanic from the first Red Dead Redemption that really changed how the game played.

Although the ability to use Dead Eye was supposed to be something specific to John Marston, it could be explained that all gang members have a special sense that allows them to do it. Dead Eye could even be used as a specific character ability to one of the playable characters (here's hoping for the return of John!), although giving it to all of the characters wouldn't be bad either.

There have been many different mechanics similar to Dead Eye throughout gaming, but Dead Eye is arguably one of the best. The ability to mark specifically where you wanted to shoot your enemies was completely badass, and felt like the sort of ability a skilled marksman would develop.

Dead Eye hasn't been seen in any of Rockstar's games since Red Dead Redemption. It's time for it to make a comeback.
