Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Gameplay Features We Need To See

4. Factions

Red Dead Redemption made the presence of different factions and cultures very prominent, which should be made into a gameplay feature.

Much like Canis Canem Edit and its cliques, Red Dead Redemption 2 should feature different factions based on the variety of cultures that live in the world. These factions should provide different benefits to the player, and completing different missions could either raise or lower your standing with them.

This could tie into gameplay by having different areas of the map reject the player and attack them on sight, or welcome them in and give them exclusive discounts and items. Befriending the Native Americans could give you access to backup from them, whilst teaming up with the rich upper-class citizens could allow you greater earnings from their missions.

Doing this would make each players single-player feel unique from their friends. Rockstar Games generally don't include a lot of choice, but Red Dead Redemption 2 should change this and allow for a truly evolving world. It could also tie into online and have your created character repping a certain faction.
