Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Gameplay Features We Need To See

5. Multiple Playable Characters

Having multiple characters in GTA V opened the world up immeasurably. Franklin, Micheal and Trevor all felt distinct from one another and had their own activities and abilities, making their inclusion feel worthwhile, also from a story perspective.

Clearly, Red Dead Redemption 2 looks like it'll have a similar feature. The trailer we've been shown so far focused on having a large gang of outlaws, which makes it seem like a few will definitely be playable. Perhaps Rockstar are going for all seven? That would improve upon GTA V's principal feature in a huge way, allowing us to see the trials and tribulations of the West from a number of different perspectives simultaneously.

If we're talking potential playable characters that would shake up the foundations, how about Rockstar finally implement a female protagonist? That would completely change the expected formula, and being Marston and wife Abigail were both in Dutch's Gang, it makes perfect sense.
