The 90s was a weird time for movies. Disney scored some of their biggest hits ever and then plunged into a slump, several box office flops became classics (Fight Club & The Shawshank Redemption to name a couple), and there was a sense of irony and self-awareness that the ‘80s lacked.

Tombstone was no different, the ‘60s style Western with notable confidence released to a lukewarm reception in 1993.

Based on the true life story of Wyatt Earp being dragged out of retirement to clean up the town of Tombstone, the movie featured several actual Wild West cowboys and gunslingers.

Val Kilmer’s Doc Holliday wasn’t the lead, but he was the standout, and probably has the most recognisable garb. The only issue in Red Dead is that it perhaps bears too much resemblance to a younger Dutch, but that’s hardly a massive issue.

Slicked back hair and a twirly Barber moustache above the grizzlies outlaw outfit in red gets you most of the way there. The extra skinny tie and black worn roper boots then complete the look as one of cinema’s most entertaining Western characters.

Put this outfit on, and you can be anybody’s huckleberry.
