Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Reasons It's Rockstar's Best Open-World Game
1. The World Is Huge And Varied
2018 really has been one of the best years for huge open world adventures.
As you'd expect from a Rockstar game, the world is really the star of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it is absolutely huge. Getting from one location to another is one of the things that you're going to be doing a lot of in Red Dead, so it's a good thing that the world is actually interesting to explore.
The amount of variety in the world is what makes it so impressive. The original Red Dead only really felt different in Mexico and the woodland areas, but now we have swamps and smoky industrial cities to mix things up a bit more.
No matter where you end up going, there is always something to look at, shoot, or talk to and that's pretty impressive considering how empty some open worlds often end up feeling.
Even if the map isn't the biggest in gaming, the density of it is really what makes it impressive.
