Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Reasons It's The Best Game Ever Made

9. The Easter Eggs

By Rockstar standards, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a fairly grounded story. Meaning there are no main missions involving aliens or such mad things you might find in a Grand Theft Auto. That said, it wouldn't be a Rockstar game if that kind of stuff wasn't there, tucked away but worth finding all the same.

Yes it may be a little hidden, but the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is chock-full of nooks and crannies to be explored, ones that will offer golden bars as treasure, ones that lead to a serial killer, ones in which you'll find a mutilated pig monster, and so on. It's overflowing with weirdness and that's all we can ask for.

This is an aspect of the game that helps it feel truly alive, because helping a random stranger on the road may come back later in the game. Helping Marko Dragic create his weird robot will lead to a unique find down the line. And then there's random occurrences like finding Bonnie McFarlane's dying husband.

The world is like a love letter to itself, and that makes it incredible fun to explore for hundreds of hours.
