Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Reasons It's The Best Game Ever Made
7. The Cast
Every character you come across in Red Dead Redemption 2 is memorable.
Whether it's the Sheriff of Valentine, Tilly from camp, or a random beggar in the street. Every character has... just that, character.
While a vast majority of video games struggle to even make their protagonist likeable, relatable or memorable, Red Dead Redemption 2 has a cast bigger than any movie, and it makes them all worth listening to.
Part of this is the incredible writing that makes each character feel unique, and like they have a real voice and lives, but the other part of it is the great animators and the phenomenal voice-actors that truly breathe life into each individual.
Playing as part of a large gang could easily have left several characters in the background, feeling not fleshed out at all. However, playing the game means you're liable to truly care for everyone, from Arthur to Mary-Beth, John to Pearson, and every straggler you meet along the way.
It's awe-inspiring to just walk around the world and talk to strangers, most of whom have more personality than any character across the majority of triple-A releases.
