Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Ways Rockstar MUST Do Single Player DLC
9. Undead Nightmare 2
Undead Nightmare remains one of the most popular DLC packages ever, where John Marston fought off a (strictly non canon) zombie uprising after the main events of Red Dead Redemption but before his untimely death.
Strictly non canon is important, as if we’re going to get to play as Arthur again, Rockstar likely wouldn’t want to mess with the script. With that in mind, why not pay tribute to Undead Nightmare and go non canon in the best possible way, bringing Arthur back from the dead?
The other entries here are more grounded in realism, and by exploring other characters or happening before the ultimate ending, even manage to keep the canon story intact. If you’re going to go weird though, you always need to go really weird. It’s something Rockstar has proved over the years that they understand very well too.
Obviously, it does err a little close to Undead Nightmare, and maybe in this age of prequels, reboots and live action remakes, a microwaved version of a ten year old concept isn’t the best idea. Considering how fresh Red Dead Redemption 2 felt though, surely they’d make it work.
